Jaime Bentley

Jaime Bentley graduated from Spearfish High School in Spearfish, SD. Jaime brings extensive experience as both a player and coach. During her time as a Spartan she earned all-conference honors twice, and all -state honors her senior year, along with being named a finalist for AA player of the year, and Miss Basketball South Dakota. After high school Jaime committed to play golf at the University of Louisville, however after two years away from basketball she transferred home to finish her collegiate career at Black Hills State University. Jaime’s background and accomplishments as a player have earned many awards and much recognition, including induction into both the Spearfish High School and Black Hills State University Athletic Hall of Fames.

Jaime began her coaching career right out of college when she was named the women’s golf coach at Black Hills State University. Her time as a collegiate coach provided valuable knowledge in player development, strength and conditioning, and strategic planning. Jaime began her basketball coaching career in the fall of 2012 at Spearfish High School, and has been involved in developing young players through camps and clinics throughout the years. Her experience as a player has given her experiences to relate to young players aiming to achieve goals of playing at the next level.


Jamie Schroeder

Jamie graduated from Douglas High School in Douglas, WY.  She was a member of 6 State Championship teams during her time at DHS, four in Track/Field and two for basketball. After HS, she committed to play at Colby Community College where they went on to finish 7th in the nation during her freshman season.  She finished her career at The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  As a junior, she was named Big Sky Newcomer of the year and earned Honorable Mention recognition. During Jamie’s time at UNC, the Bears made the post-season for the first time in school history as members of the DI Big Sky conference. After college she served as the Graduate Assistant for the Bears with responsibilities in player development, scouting, and camp organization. 

After getting her Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Jamie pursued playing professionally in Europe before a knee injury.  Jamie went back to school at BHSU to pursue a career in teaching. During this time she was a student assistant under Mark Nore, and helped with day to day practice plans, strength and conditioning, and summer camp organization.

Remi Weintjes

Remi Wientjes graduated from Sully Buttes High School in Onida, SD.  Remi was a member of multiple championships in track, basketball, and rodeo throughout her time at Sully Buttes. Remi earned several accomplishments during her high school basketball career as she was named to the Yellowstone all-conference three years, participated in multiple state tournaments, and received all-state honors her junior and senior year.   After high school, she went to Black Hills State University where she played for Mark Nore for five years.  Throughout her time at Black Hills State she was apart of the first team to make it the Division II National Tournament, as well as completing in the RMAC post-season tournament all three seasons she played. During her time at Black Hills State University, Remi suffered from injuries, which allowed her to gain a valuable insight into the coaching aspect of basketball.  She provides strong experiences and valuable knowledge which allows her to relate to young players, and to push them to achieve goals to take them to the next level.  

After completing her bachelor’s in Elementary Education, Remi accepted a job for the Spearfish School District teaching third grade at Creekside Elementary.  Since then, Remi has become involved in putting on skill clinics throughout the year and assisting with various basketball organizations.
